We know how to Cook up some fun!! Join us for a dolphin swim with the southern dolphin pod plus a cruise along the rugged and beautiful South Kona Coastline to Kealakekua Bay and Captain Cook's Monument. This 6 hour excursion includes morning pastries, fresh fruit, soft drinks, and fresh deli lunch including fresh chips and cookies. A professional guide and all snorkel gear is provided. This is a Private Charter for up to 6 passengers aboard Shogun or Na Pali Kai 2 for 7 or more passengers. Kealakekua Bay is the largest sheltered natural bay on the island of Hawaii. Accessible only by foot (steep hiking trail) and by boat, this spectacular marine sanctuary at Kealakekua Bay offers an abundance of colorful tropical fish, a variety of beautiful coral reefs and visibility often to 100 feet. The calm, protected waters of Kealakekua Bay make this spot one of the premier places to snorkel anywhere in Hawaii. Flanked to the east are steep cliffs with pukas containing bones of the Alii making this site a very spiritual and sacred place to the Hawaiians. To the south is ?Napo'opo'o? Village and Hiki'au Heiau (ancient Hawaiian temple site), a temple dedicated to Lono, the god of agriculture and fertility of the land. By the way, the land where the monument sits is near where Captain James Cook died and is considered British soil to this day and maintained by the Australian Navy.
