Departing at 10:00, we plan to arrive to Kealakekua Bay midday when other morning tours have departed. We are able to provide you with a more intimate, less crowded snorkel experience. Kealakekua Bay is a marine preserve and the site of the Captain Cook Monument. This area is one of Hawaii’s premier snorkel spots with incredible visibility and calm conditions. The area is full of Hawaiian history. These events will be recounted as your captain “talks story” after snorkeling. Captains have the bonus option to allow guests to “swim with dolphins” (at his discretion, safety first!). This adventure offers more time for exploring and snorkeling in Kealakekua Bay, or another snorkel spot and/or added viewing time with humpback whales, pilot whales and dolphins! We also include a light deli lunch sandwich (dietary restrictions upon request), chips, cookies, fresh local pineapple, bottled water and soft drinks. Get ready for close up views of the sea caves, lava tubes, blowholes and archways as you explore the rugged coastline. Learn about the geology that continues to form of the islands. All snorkel gear, high quality silicone masks, Rx masks, fins, float boards or vests and detailed instruction are included.
